French holiday property advertising with France One Call

French holiday property advertising with advice and guidelines. How to write good advertising copy so that your French holiday property is favoured by the search engines.

Advertising your French holiday property with France One Call means you are creating a sub-directory (sub domain) negating the neccesity and extra expense of having to have your own website built. You are provided with the facility to edit, add or change your text and photographs at any time.

The application form is broken down into several sections.

The title about 10 words
Initial eye catching text about 30 words
Property description
Tourist information about your local area
Departmental tourist information
Testimonials
Diary / Blog

Your title and initial eye catching text are the most important sections where the search engines are concerned. Think about what people will be using as their keywords whilst searching the Internet. Avoid unnecessary adjectives in these sections and allow your good qaulity photographs to do the talking.

Do not under any circumstances use text that you are using to advertise your holiday property on other websites.

Title

Good example: Dordogne holiday home near Riberac and Aubeterre self catering holidays. (All keywords)

Bad example: Luxury Manoir with stunning views over countryside and woodlands. (No keywords)

Initial eye catching text

(The first words should closely resemble your title.)

Good example: Dordogne holiday home near Riberac and Aubeterre for self catering holidays. Our holiday home in the North Dordogne provides excellent self catering holiday accommodation. (Try to repeat important keywords).

Bad example: Luxury Manoir with stunning views over countryside and woodlands. Come and stay in our beautiful Charentaise Manoir and enjoy a well earned rest. (No keywords).

Property description

Virtually everything a holidaymaker needs to know about your property will automatically be generated from the property details form you complete. This information will appear as clear bullet points on your property description page.

You do not need to repeat this information in your property description.

Now you can use as many adjectives as you like to describe your property. Use this section to describe your furnishings, décor, gardens, on site activities, views, yourself and any other reasons why people would rent your property.

Local tourist information

Again, it is most important to use keywords in your Title and first 30 words of Text.

Title example: Tourist information and tourism in Riberac, Aubeterre, Verteillac and Mussidan.

Then start your text using your title.

Choose three or four towns that are local to your property and provide as much information as you can about their history, local restaurants, events, traditions, shops, bars, cafes things to do, places to visit, entertainment, sports and activities.

Update this page on a regular basis as you learn more about what is taking place in your local community. Large companies have marketing departments dedicated solely to their marketing. You are your own marketing department and it is imperative that you provide contsnat new information and reasons to book your property.

Tourist information about your department

The same rules apply here:

Title example: Dordogne tourist information and tourism in Perigueux, Bergerac and Sarlat.

Choose three large towns in your department and pack the page with information about the history, local restaurants, events, traditions, shops, bars, cafes things to do, places to visit, entertainment, sports and activities.

Update this page on a regular basis as you learn more about what is taking place in your department.

Testimonials

Use this page to enter comments and testimonials about your property from previous guests. Gain their permission and if possible ask them if they would respond to any guest who wishes to ascertian if the testimonial is genuine
