Dordogne Verteillac large holiday home with a private pool sleeps up to 18. Les Grands Chais de la Meyfrenie is a holiday gite in the old restored farm buildings of a beautiful chateau which is an historic monument (ISMH). The owners of which still occupy the Chateau.

This is a beautifully restored gite in the grounds of an historic Chateaux first built at the end of the XV century and rebuilt around 1825 after a fire. The buildings around the Chateau once housed wine producing requiremnets.Today they house a beautiful large holiday home and an equestrian centre.

The Grand Chai occupies a southern wing of one of these buildings and comprises of a very large lounge / dining area that opens onto the private walled garden. Next to this is the well equipped kitchen including a gas cooker, washing machine and dishwasher, 2 refrigerators with freezers and a microwave, electric coffee maker, iron and ironing board.

There are 6 bedrooms for 2 persons, 3 doubles and 3 twins, and a small dormitory with 6 single beds. There are two shower rooms each with 2 shower cubicles and three wash basins.There are separate toilets on both floors.The ground floor of the gite has gas heating, there is electric heating on the first floor.

Outside, the garden is private and enclosed and is set around a central feature of a water fountain, fir trees and fruit trees.

In a fenced and protected area adjoining the garden is the private swimming pool 12.5 x 5 m with separate changing room facilities.

There is a barbecue, garden furniture and a ping pong table.

Telephone available to receive calls and one can make calls using a phone card using a code.

In the village of Verteillac is a public open air pool and there are tennis courts a short walk away.

Excellent English is spoken by the family of Mr et Madame de la Ville.
