Péyrillault, a small 17th century former farming hamlet, is located just 15 minutes away from the bustling market town of Ribérac. There are two cottages on the property, the largest, Mistral, can accommodate parties of up to 8 people however for parties of 5 or less we do offer the cottage at a discount (the cottage in this case, is advertised as 'Peyrillault').

The cottage is light and airy with glorious views. On the ground floor, there is a large kitchen / dining room with many original features such as a stone sink, a beautiful stone fireplace fitted with a good wood burning stove, large sitting room, a double bedroom which opens out onto a private courtyard, and a bathroom.

On the first floor, there is a children's room (four single beds with plenty of room for playing!) and a double bedroom with ensuite shower room (with a great shower!) and an adjoining dressing room with stone fireplace.

The kitchen is well equipped with a large gas oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge freezer, toaster, and coffee maker. The cottage has a large selection of books, a television with UK satellite television connection, video player, dvd player and a small portable radio/cd player.  We have a good selection of dvds and videos for guests to borrow!

The swimming pool (9.5m x 5m) is set in a pretty walled courtyard and is shared with our small cottage which sleeps 2 adults and two children. The cottage has a pretty front garden which attracts butterflies, dragonflies, hummingbird hawk moths (as well as glow worms at night!.. and in the spring.. the occasional hare!), and a paved courtyard suitable for barbeques to the rear. We also have a barn, which is shared by both cottages where we keep the table tennis table, indoor and outdoor games and videos.

The whole property is surrounded by rolling hills, wild flower meadows and woodland (dotted with many species of orchids), and fields of sunflowers, wheat and maize. The area is perfect for activities such as painting, bird watching (we get golden orioles, barn owls, hoopoes, nightingales, etc.), horse riding, walking, golf, tennis, cycling, and canoeing. There are also many beautiful towns, villages, gardens and chateaux to explore nearby as well as caves (with paintings), vineyards, good restaurants and local markets to visit.
