Charming cottage with private pool, near Nontron in the Dordogne , south west France. A beautiful, spacious, country cottage in the Perigord Vert area of the North Dordogne. Recently converted but retaining a traditional style , this lovely spacious cottage with its own private courtyard, garden and pool is set on the outskirts of the quiet hamlet of Lapouge but within easy reach of all main facilities. The surrounding countryside has plenty of wild life and wild flowers. Excellent for bird - watching, rambling and walking. Very quiet but not isolated. Field Archery specialists.

Ground floor –fully tiled-light & airy, fully fitted kitchen -fridge, freezer, micro-wave, dishwasher, gas stove, with dining area -table to seat six plus high chair. Very spacious comfortable lounge, 2x2 seater sofas, 1x3 seater sofa, with a wood burning stove. Freeview satellite tv & video plus video & book libraries, games.

First floor – stairs from the lounge leading to a large double carpeted bedroom, plenty of clothes space/hangers, with a shower en suite. Stairs from dining area leading to a very large twin room and a double bedroom, both with wardrobes/coathangers & bedside tables with lamps and a large bathroom. Cots, high chairs with booster seats, changing mat & stairgate available.  (extra child bed can be added for additional cost)

Double doors from the dining area open on to the furnished courtyard with BBQ, private parking, garden area and private pool ( 7mts x 4mts ) with floaties! Sunloungers, table & parasol in the pool area.

Lawn games provided.

Pets welcome. Garden fully fenced.

A welcome pack of bottle of wine, beers, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter and preserve will be ready for your arrival.

Bed linen and bath towels provided. Shopping service available.

On site - boules court, badminton, field archery (accompanied only), volleyball, bicycles.

Field Archery lessons and practise on site. Tuition from 2008 French National Historic Longbow Gold Medal winner, 2008 Dordogne Longbow point-score champion.

Location- St Estèphe – 1km – has a recreational lake with beach, moored diving platform in a designated swimming area, in high season there are lifeguards, also free canoes and kayaks. There are boardwalks, picnic benches, restaurant, cafés , bars, boules courts & a tennis court. In the village is a mini – market, bakery & post office, cafés, bars, brocante.

There is an excellent Auberge 1.5kms. (dine in or take-away) and 6 km.

The town of Piégut is 5 kms, has all main facilities and an extensive Wednesday morning market.

Nontron -9kms – has all main facilities, a large Saturday market and a famous knife factory.

There is local horse riding, carp fishing, Kart and quad track (9kms) many ancient sites, châteaux and caves.

St Sornin vineyard, 25mins, tour/ taste /buy!!

The beautiful château town of Brantôme, 30kms, has a Friday market, summer farmers market, and restaurants, historic buildings and caves. Canoeing/kayaking, climbing available.

The fabulous crystal Grottes de Villars are only 20 mins away.

Vineyard of St Sornin, 25mins, tour, taste & buy!!

During the summer there are many local fêtes to visit.

Limoges airport -1hr 15mins is now serviced from Liverpool, East Midlans & Stansted.

Bergerac airport -1hr 40mins is serviced from Birmingham & Leeds/Bradford.
