Self catering holiday cottage in the Dordogne. Péyrillault, a 17th century former farm, is located just 10 minutes away from the bustling market town of Ribérac. There are two cottages on the property with pretty front gardens and lovely views. 

Zepherine cottage can accommodate 4 people (2 adults and 2 children). On the ground floor, there is a kitchen / dining room, a large family bathroom and direct access to the swimming pool, (9.5m x 5m), set in a pretty walled courtyard, which is shared with our other cottage and the occupants of the main house.

Zepherine is a very pretty cottage with a colourful garden which attracts butterflies, dragonflies, hummingbird hawk moths (at night... glow worms!). Its interiors are light and airy. On the first floor, there is a double bedroom (with beautiful views) and a mezzanine twin bedroom. The latter is suitable for children rather than adults as the beams are low. The stairs in this cottage are quite steep but are fitted with gates for the safety of small children. The double bedroom leads out onto a roof terrace which overlooks the swimming pool and is ideal for barbeques, sunbathing or viewing spectacular sunsets.

The kitchen is well equipped with a gas oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer, toaster, juicer and coffee maker. Guests also have use of a washing machine and an extra freezer. The cottage has a good selection of books and a television with UK satellite television connection, video player, dvd player and a small portable radio/cd player.  We have a good selection of dvds and videos for guests to borrow!

We also have a barn, which is shared by both cottages where we keep the table tennis table, indoor and outdoor games, and videos.

The whole property is surrounded by rolling hills, wild flower meadows and woodland which are dotted with many species of orchids, and fields of sunflowers, wheat and maize. The area is perfect for activities such as painting, bird watching (we get golden orioles, hoopoes, nightingales, etc.), horse riding, walking, golf, tennis, cycling, and canoeing. There are also many beautiful towns, villages, gardens and chateaux to explore nearby as well as caves (with paintings), vineyards, good restaurants and local markets to visit.
