Dordogne Farmhouse near Verteillac with tennis court sleeps 8,L'Etang D'issac is a beautifully restored 3 bedroomed farmhouse set in nearly 2 acres of sloping lawns and colourful flower beds. The property is surrounded by fields and woodlands and is perfectly situated for a quiet relaxing holiday.

The property has a detached barn & outhouse, a covered barbecue area and a beautiful terraced area at the front of the main house. There is also a Tennis court in the grounds.

The nearest "Boulangerie" at Goutes Rossignol is 1/2 km away and the pretty traditional French towns of Verteillac and Mareuil are both 7km away.  There you will find good general stores & several restaurants. There is a well stocked lake, "D'etang de Faures" close by. Fishing permits can be obtained at the local Tabac.

Quiet country roads stretch out in all directions, perfect for walking, cycling and bird watching.

The house comprises a spacious lounge with a large open fire (logs provided). There is a Tv with Freeview British programs and a DVD player  The kitchen is well equipped for eight people with a washing machine situated in the adjoining utility room. There is also a large bathroom on the ground floor with separate WC. Upstairs you'll find three good sized bedrooms with original beams, one with a double bed and two with a double and a single bed. There is a separate shower room with WC. bedlinen and towels are provided.There is a travel cot and high chair if needed.

Outside tables, chairs and sun loungers are provided on the terrace and barbecue areas, which can be lit at night for al fresco dining.  Just sit back and listen to the birds singing.

 This year we have installed a large oval above ground pool for you to enjoy when the weather is really hot.We have positioned the pool so that it can be well supervised from the terrace. You can also swim in the nearby lake(E'tang de Faures) and there is a sports complex at nearby Verteillac with a large swimming pool(entrance fee 2 euros)

There is plenty to do and explore in the immediate area chateaux and cave painting, wine tasting, canoeing etc..   Riberac (18km) has a large L'Eclerc supermarket and a lively Friday market.

We have recently acquired L'Etang d'issac, hence the immediate availability on all dates and the competitive pricing.

The farmhouse is available for a long Winter let, perfect for property hunting.  The price is £400 per calendar month(utility bills not included). It can be made available for a six months let, or longer by arrangement. 

We have oil fired central heating and a wood burning stove.
