Brantome  has so much to offer with many hotels, restaurants,pavement cafes to suit all tastes adn budgets. There are all the usual and some unusual shops and bars in te riverside town. In Brantome, you can go boating on the river, canoeing, fishing, play tennis and within 20 mins of golf.

This medieval town has the oldest bell tower in France and it adjoins the Abbay. Friday morning is the weekly market day which is set on the river bank and is a delight, packed with local produce and wines  making this a delightful Friday morning outing.

Brantome is ideally situated for visiting the prehistoric sites of the Dordogne including the nearby  Chateau de Bourdeilles , Grotte de Villars and at Champagnac de Belair the famous Moulin de Roc restaurant.

THe accommodation sleeps 6 adults

Bedroom 1 overlooks the garden, spacious with high oak beams, louis xv cherub fireplace, good king size bed, luxury ensuite bathroom.

bedroom 3 entrance from lounge and balcony. Very large room with twin canopied beds and fireplace. Large ensuite facilities which include bath, shower and w.c..

Lounge has a beamed ceiling,magnificent fireplace and French doors leading to the balcony which overlooks the river and garden.

Dining room overlooks the river with adjoining  kitchen, split level cooker, washing machine, fridge, freezer.

The house is tastefully furnished throughout with period furniture. This adds charm and elegance to this period property.

There is a pleasant riverside garden, garden furniture is provided and barbecue . Fishing is also permitted on your doorstep.
