Our holiday home in the south Loire, central France provides comfortable self catering accommodation. La Maison de Maitre is set 4 hectares amongst farmland in the commune of Flere la Riviere between the Medieval town of Loches and Chatillon-sur Indre.

With a supermarket open on Sunday morning, banks, post office, bar, tabac restaurants and boulangeries. The small village of St Flovier also has a bar and an excellent restaurant.

The medieval town of Loches is just 20mins away. Visit the Cite Royale de Loches with its spectacular Dungeon giving panoramaic views of the area. A large market is held each Saturday and Wednesday morning. Many restaurants to suit all pockets and tastes.

To the south of the house is the Brenne Parc Natural. The land of a thousand lakes and teeming with wildlife. Perfect spot to combine bird spotting and walking.

Also close by is Reserve de la Haute-Touche. With over 1000 animals many endangered species, to see in a natural environment. Take your bike or enjoy the walk and a picnic.
