Mouliherne is situated in the beautiful Loire Valley approximately 20 minutes north of Saumur, the property is set in the courtyard of the owners property on the edge of the village surrounded by fields, and of course the apple orchards and very close to a large  2000 m2 lake suitable for fishing and to picnicking - woodlands and quiet country roads.

The accommodation of this cottage comprises a living room with lovely old tuffeau fireplace and wood burning stove , a fully equipped kitchen if you need it - with gas hob, electric oven - fridge, microwave, coffee filter, kettle, toaster etc.

The lounge has two comfortable leather chairs for relaxing. There is a television with satellite TV - video player with a library of videos - DVD player with a few dvds and small amount of books for holiday reading. The accommodation also has a stereo for listening to your music.

There is one double bedroom with unusual cast iron sleigh bed - main light with head fan if it gets to hot. Good size wardrobe - chest of drawers and dressing table - Bedroom is provided with blankets, bedspread and English style pillows, sheets can be provided at an extra cost of £15.00 per week.

The large bathroom shower cubicle big enough for two , W.C, washbasin.

To the front of the cottage is Garden furniture and barbecue are provided.

The nearest village, Vernantes is situated approximately 8 km and Mouliherne with its boulangerie, bars and local shop is 1.5km away.

There are two small market towns, Baugé and Beaufort-en-Vallée, within 8Km, both of which have supermarkets with petrol stations, restaurants, banks and tourist information offices.

The famous Loire Chateau country is close by with the beautiful chateaux of Chenounceaux, Villandry, Ussé and Brissac to name but a few.

Angers is less than 30 minutes drive from Mouliherne and has many interesting historic buildings and museums, including the Cointreau factory and museum and the Museum of Communications. The chateau at Angers houses the Apocalypse Tapestry one of the largest tapestries in Europe.

Saumur, famous for the Cadre Noir Equestrian Academy, troglodyte caves and “Méthode Traditionelle” sparkling wines is approximately 20 minutes away. Also within easy driving distance are Le Mans with the Automobile museum and mediaeval town centre and the Futuroscope at Poitiers.

The whole area is full of attractive villages, peaceful picnic areas and is ideal for walking, bird watching and cycling. There is a great golf course at Bauge within 15 minutes drive.
