South of France holiday villa  with pool near Beziers.The property has great character and dates from XIIIcentury - Francois I, renaissance King of France slept here! It has been recently and lovingly restored with antique furniture and the accommodation is spacious and comfortable. The private garden with pretty flowers and swimming pool - Jardin des Capucines , must be a small part of paradise. Here is a private world: charming, cosy and romantic.The house has original stone façades with high french windows and views of the pool and garden.

Single beds can be pushed together and made into doubles.

Montblanc is situated 15km from Beziers and 12km from Pezenas and has every facility: grocery store, bakery, butcher, newsagent, café and markets twice a week. There is also a tennis court. Local supermarkets are ten minutes drive. The golf course Saint Thomas - rated second best in Languedoc is within walking distance.

Château de Montblanc is only half an hour from the sandy Mediterranean beaches. There’s plenty of choice between, Sete, Marseillan, Valras, Portiragnes and Cap d’Agde. The water is shallow for several metres and perfect for young children. Between the fishing port of Sete and Marseillan is a wonderful beach that’s 7km long. Cap d’Agde is a host to yachts and boats with a magnificent port, cafés and restaurants, night clubs, casino and every watersport imaginable. Marseillan port is delightful. Here the famous ' Canal du Midi ' reaches the Bassin de Thau and the Mediterranean. There are some excellent restaurants and the port has retained much of its ancient charm.

We are also within easy distance of the medieval town of Pezenas, where Molière lived and worked. The old part of the town is certainly worth a visit - the architecture is stunning and several artists have permanent craft workshops throughout the summer. Pezenas is also renowned for antique and junk shops, plus a typical French market on Saturday mornings..

Beziers is 15km, renowned for wine, rugby and bullfights! It also has a fabulous history: romans and cathars both have their story to tell. Pierre Paul Riquet who built the famous canal du Midi lived here take a look at the 9 locks in Fontseranes. Or visit some local vineyards and have a taste of Languedoc!

Fishing, lake-swimming, windsurfing, riding and particulary golf are all within each reach. For music lovers there are a series of local festivals in the area throughout the summer. Languedoc has an abundance of sun-baked Mediterranean climate, fields of sunflowers and fragrent lavander. It is a precious and rare: A corner of France filled with great natural beauty, superb wines and a long and fascinating history that has somehow escaped the hordes.
