In between the Gironde and the border of the Dordogne, near the vineyards of Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, Cotes de Duras and Gergerac nestles Les Granges which is a smal group of privately owned 300 year old fully restored Bordelais stone cottages (which used to be a working farm) with lots of character and charm, set in a small, pretty farming hamlet amongst vines and woodlands.  Clematite is entered from an east facing pretty terrace with door leading into the lounge with stone walls and exposed beams with Satellite TV, telephone, books and games.  Through a large oak door into the kitchen - fully equipped - diner with staircase to the ensuite family bedroom enjoying a homely atmostphere with beds made, a generous supply of hand and bath towels and limitless hot water.  All the luxuries to make life relaxing for your holiday with us.

Les Granges is exclusively run and managed by us personally so tyou will always feel "at home".  We are on hand to offer help and advice during your stay if needed and to point you in the right direction for the best wines, restaurants, markets, walks or cycle rides.  We can also advise you on day trips around the breathtaking countryside with its mediaeval castles, chateaux and villages as well as our magnificent rivers that offer many adventures.

Your first sight of Les Granges is from a quiet country lane with views over the vines and woodlands.  When you arrive you have your own parking space.  At the front of the property is an enclosed garden and pathway leading you into the beautifully restored stone cottages overlooking the 12m x 6m pool and paddling pool (fenced and gated).

Situated just south of the historic town of Ste. Foy la Grande (on the road between Bordeaux and Bergerac) we are perfectly sited to explore this beautiful region.  Whether your interest is in the local wines, the historic towns and villages, the regional food, the colourful markets or just recharging your batteries, e offer the very best of French country life.
