Chateau la Gontrie is a fine wine producing chateau , French and Australian owned by Jean-Louis Rives and his Australian wife, Nola.

The sixteen hectare vineyard is situated on a gentle slope exposed to the south, only a fifteen minutes drive from Bordeaux.

The Chateau was once a coaching inn where the horses were changed and passengers stayed overnight on their way to Bordeaux. Looking on to a beautifully and lovingly maintained half hectare park that merges into the vines, summer evenings can be spent eating under the stars, enjoying the wines of the chateau and of the region. There is a shared pool 6 x12 meters.

The ground floor of Le Magnolia has a lounge, dining room, bathroom with a separate toilet and a modern well equipped kitchen with an oven and a hob, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate toilet. A cot is also available.

A BBQ,volley ball, badminton, table tennis, French bowls and bicycles are available free of charge.
