Gite with private swimming pool in the Lot valley near Prayssac South West France (available to rent all year). Luxuriously decorated ground floor gite with exclusive use of swimming pool and large garden covering approximately one acre, in the unspoilt Lot Valley. La Maison Blanche, is situated on the northern outskirts, and easy walking distance, of the medieval market town of Prayssac in the Lot Valley. It is ideally for families, even with small children. Prayssac is 20 miles west of Cahors (1 hr south east of Bergerac airport, 1.5hrs north west of Toulouse airport).

La Maison Blanche has amenities of a very high standard for the discerning traveler. A comfortable open-plan sitting room with sofa, chairs and TV with DVD and video and at the other end is a fully fitted French style kitchen with excellent facilities including an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. A large solid dining table, from a Kent farmhouse, sits six adults comfortably, and with French doors leading onto a terrace area also with dining facilities, both offer an excellent place to enjoy both the extensive gardens, swimming pool - of which you have private use - and beautiful views whilst enjoying a bottle of the local much celebrated 'black wine' of the Cahor region.

We have carefully renovated the whole house and each of the three bedrooms in the downstairs gite has it’s own special identity.

Bedroom one. This room is a large double bedroom which has a door leading onto the garden. It is decorated in fresh garden colours in traditional French Toile de Jouy fabric, with complementary en-suite shower room, including sink and toilet. It has a hanging cupboard, with shelves and a drawer unit.

Bedroom two. Again a double bedroom, in cool creams and splashes of burgundy and gold’s, with en-suite toilet and sink. This room also has a large wardrobe and chest of drawers and mirror.

Bedroom three. A large twin bedded room, containing a large wardrobe and mirror. This room is again decorated in traditional Toile de Jouy, this time in shades of blue and white.

There is also a separate large family bathroom comprising a bath with shower, sink and toilet.

Outside. The garden is extensive, including fruit trees and a flower meadow and you will have exclusive use of a large swimming pool (12m x 8m) with steps at one end with the depth at the shallow end being 80cm. A large table and six chairs are placed on the patio, also available are sun chairs and a barbeque where you can just sit back with a glass of the local wine and enjoy the views.

All bed linen and towels are supplied for your stay and are included in the rental cost. A mid holiday clean is available at an extra cost, please ask for a quote. A cot and high chair for small children is available on request. An iron and ironing board are also provided. The accommodation is fully centrally heated ensuring a warm stay during the winter months – a charge is made for this. A full selection of DVD’s and video's for both adults and children is available. Along with outdoor games such as Boule and a badminton/volley ball net, racquets etc. There are no steps inside the gite or to the outside so is suitable for small children or more infirm guests, although it is not specifically fitted out for wheelchair use.  We are happy to consider a small well behaved dog to stay, please do ask (please note that the garden is not secure).

On arrival you will receive with a welcome basket of ‘essentials’ with which to begin enjoying your holiday. You will also find extensive local information for the surrounding area, whilst the Guest Book has more personal comments from previous guests.

Rental is available all the year round. Prices are for regular holiday lets in mid and high season and include gas, electricity, bed linen and towels. For winter or long term rents please contact us for details.
