Five kms is Duras home to the beautiful Chateau des Ducs du Duras open all year to visitors housing it's eerie past. Duras has restaurants, bars, banks, post office two supermarkets and a great Monday morning market. The local markets of the area are fantastic and are really worth a visit- especially Ste Foy la Grande, Eymet and Montegure, with oysters, flowers, fresh fruit, cheeses, fois gras, hot rotisserie chicken.
