Well-equipped gite for 2 with "wifi" internet connection and excellent central heating.The open 'hangar' end of the barn provides deep shade for meals right next to the pool (see photo), which is shared with the family.

The covered end has been newly converted into a comfortable one bedroom single storey 'gite' : L-shaped living/dining room with fitted kitchen corner (2 plate electric hob, microwave/grill, dish washer); bedroom (king size bed) off this main room, also with door straight to the garden; and laundry area lobby separating the main room from the bathroom/WC. The private patio (garden furniture, BBQ and parasol provided) is tucked under a newly planted stone terraced shubbery a sun trap in all seasons (see photograph).

Apart from its famed gastronomy and Cahors wines, the region has much to explore: French or English 'bastides' or medieval 'new towns', with their colourful street markets; Romanesque masterpieces; Roman remains; prehistoric cave paintings.... Easy walking country, with marked bridle-ways (hire a donkey down the road to carry your picnic...). Enjoy tennis on the village hard court (reached by a path through our woods) or golf on the 9-hole course only a few minutes drive away.

The rent includes linen and all utilities, including central heating.
